About the Role
As a MESO/ESO BG4 Qualified Technician
, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of site electrical and mechanical systems, while delivering emergency response and rescue services
to support ongoing mining operations. In both Surface
and Underground operations.
This is an ongoing contract with the potential to go from Temp to Perm
.
You’ll play a key role in incident response, maintenance, and operational readiness , ensuring all work meets strict safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform switching, isolation, and restoration duties in accordance with BG4 authorisation.

Conduct maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical and mechanical assets.

Provide rapid and effective response to site emergencies, including medical and fire incidents.

Ensure compliance with safety procedures and operational standards.

Liaise with control and operations teams to maintain safe site conditions.

Maintain detailed logs, reports, and documentation for all activities.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a combination of technical expertise , emergency response experience , and a strong safety-first mindset .
Essential Requirements:
Candidates who hold BG4 qualifications will ONLY be considered for this role- Current MESO/ESO BG4 qualification (essential).
- Closed Circuit Breathing Apparatus competency (BioPaks are used on site)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in mining or heavy industry .
- Cert IV in Healthcare (Ambulance) or Diploma of Emergency Health Care (or higher) .
- Certificate IV TAE (preferred)
- Cert III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue .
- Certificate III Public Safety
- HLTPAT005 – Collect Specimens for Drug & Alcohol Testing .
- Advanced First Aid – (HLTAID009, HLTAID011, HLTAID014).
- SCBA/BG4 qualifications for underground response.
- Minimum MR Driver's License
- Current National Police Clearance .
- Strong computer literacy and attention to documentation.
Desirable:
