- Part-time WHS Admin - $44.00 per hour + Super - 3 month contract
- WHS Advisor – $75.00 - $80.00 per hour + Super - 3 month contract
- WHS Officer – $47.00 - $58.00 per hour + Super - 6 month contract
All roles offer strong potential for contract extension or permanent employment
Overview -These roles play a key part in maintaining safe systems of work through incident and hazard support, workers’ compensation and injury management, WHS reporting and coordination, onboarding of safety personnel, site-based inspections, and driving a safety-first culture that ensures compliance and maintains WHS accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
WHS Administrator
- Assist with incident and hazard reporting and management
- Support workers’ compensation and injury management processes
- Coordinate WHS Committee meetings
- Manage WHS inbox and email enquiries
- Maintain WHS policies and procedures
WHS Officer
- Coordinate emergency roles register
- Maintain WHS intranet content and resources
- Assist with site inspections and safety documentation
- Support onboarding of HSRs, first aiders and emergency wardens
- Provide WHS reporting, data entry and analytics support
WHS Advisor
- Promote and lead a safety-first culture across the organisation
- Ensure WHS compliance with legislation and standards
- Provide WHS advice and support to stakeholders
- Oversee WHS accreditation and certification requirements
- Experience in local council, roads, and waste is highly desirable but not essential
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety - Not required for Admin
- Demonstrated knowledge of work health and safety legislation, regulations, and codes of practice
- Experience with WHS risk assessment, inspections, and audits
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous experience working within local government or a similarly complex, multi-disciplinary organisation (Desirable)
- Willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance
