We are looking for an experienced water truck or similar operator to join our team on a short term contract. 9 day fortnight, immediate start and potential to be ongoing. You will be required to cover basic horticultural tasks and maintenance across the town.
Water Truck Operations
- Operate the town's water truck to carry out allocated tasks to required standards
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure remains in optimal working conditions
- Assist all departments in the town with water requirements
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Carry out general horticultural maintenance, including pruning, tree care, planting, mulching and watering.
- Apply fertilisers and chemicals for pest, disease and weed control when required.
- Conduct general park maintenance and inspections, reporting any faults or potential issues to management
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are safe and operational.
- Coordinate equipment, materials and watering schedules with management.
- HR License
- Experience driving 8 tonne water truck or similar
- Knowledge of basic horticulture practises
- Confident with using and maintenance of horticultural tools and equipment
- Ability to work in both a team environment and alone with little supervision
- Knowledge of plant and tree species and cultural environments
- Horticulture certificate or experience in similar environments
- Chainsaw and chemical spraying experience
