In these roles, you will provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to specialist doctors and clinics ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and exceptional patient care.
Day-to-Day Operations:
- Deliver outstanding patient care with clear and compassionate communication
- Manage and maintain accurate patient data and electronic medical records
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, clinic preparation, and follow-ups
- Preparing and stocking consulting rooms
- Managing correspondence
- Liaising with referring doctors, hospitals, and health funds
- Arranging hospital bookings and procedures
- Screening medical representatives and managing schedules
- Support colleagues and ensure effective handovers during absences
- Perform general administrative duties, including billing and banking (where required)
What We’re Looking For – Selection Criteria:
Mandatory:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong Computer Literacy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of professionalism and patient care.
- Previous experience in a similar medical administrative or secretarial role.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive approach to tasks and ability to work both independently and in a team.
Desirable:
- Proficiency with medical software such as Genie/Gentu or any similar medical software.
- Medical secretary experience
- Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
- Theatre listing/Booking experience.
- Specialist clinic experience
