We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented System Test Analyst to join our local government client on a short-term contract, with the potential for extension or permanency. This role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of efficient, sustainable, and digitally enabled business practices within a community-focused organisation.
Position Overview:The System Test Analyst will play a key role in the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of automated testing frameworks and digital project delivery. The successful candidate will ensure testing processes meet quality, governance, and efficiency standards, supporting the achievement of broader organisational objectives.
Key responsibilities include:- Designing and implementing a Selenium WebDriver automation framework from inception
- Configuring and maintaining the test automation environment and infrastructure
- Establishing and maintaining coding standards and best practices
- Managing version control and source code repositories
- Configuring test execution environments and ensuring browser compatibility
- Integrating automation frameworks with test management tools
- Developing and maintaining reporting and logging mechanisms
- Creating reusable test libraries and utility functions
The successful applicant will possess:
- A sound understanding of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge or equivalent qualification, with a minimum of three years’ experience as a Business or System Test Analyst
- High level of computer literacy and proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in clear and concise language
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities, including negotiation, persuasion, and facilitation skills
- Experience in capturing and documenting information through workflow diagrams, user analysis, or wireframe prototypes
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability
- Demonstrated capacity to develop and deliver user training
- The ability to obtain or hold a current National Police Certificate
