Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care (e.g. showering / dressing, cleaning)
- Hoisting - Sling hoisting, slide sheets, and safe transfer practices.
- Complexed bowel care
- Catheter care
- Seizure management
- Peg Feeding
- Tracheostomy care
- Medication administration
- Meal preparation, cleaning, cooking, shopping, and other household duties
- Maintenance of progress notes and record keeping
- Daily handovers to supports taking over from your shift.
- Other adhoc duties as per client request.
- Cert III relevant Individual support ( mandatory minimum qualification)
- Current Working with Children check - or able to attain one
- NDIS Worker screening check
- Current Drivers License with own vehicle
- Current National Police Clearance - less than 12 months old or able to obtain one
- Medication/Peg competency certificate
- Epilepsy Awareness & Seizure management including medications
- Diabetes awareness
- Experience with challenging behaviors
- Peg Feeding
- Stoma care
- Asthma Awareness
- Catheter care
- Current Manual Handling
- Experience driving the multi-purpose wheelchair vans
- Need to have full working rights for Australia or appropriate Visa
