What You’ll Do:
- Manage and forecast expenditure budgets, providing detailed reporting and analysis
- Prepare and review financial reports covering expenses and non-trading income such as rent and groceries
- Reconcile financial transactions, including petty cash and participant shopping accounts, ensuring accuracy
- Oversee participant shifts in Shift Care, maintaining compliance with roster and ratio requirements
- Generate and process invoices efficiently through Shift Care and Xero platforms
- Conduct monthly reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and recommend cost-saving opportunities
- Support management with end-to-end financial insights and ensure adherence to financial regulations and organizational policies
The Ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrates proactive, meticulous attention to detail and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
- Has experience with NDIS funding and compliance (NDIS Screening Check or willingness to obtain)
- Holds proven experience in financial administration, bookkeeping, or similar roles, ideally within community or health sectors
- Is proficient in Xero, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Possesses excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Maintains discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
Nice to Have Skills:
- Additional experience in financial planning or reporting for community-focused organizations
- Familiarity with participant rostering systems such as Shift Care
- Additional certifications in finance or related fields
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in financial roles, preferably within the NDIS or community sectors
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to undertake or already hold NDIS Screening Check
- Availability for immediate start and ability to commit to a full-time role
