About the Role
As a ChoiceOne Registered Midwife, you will provide safe, evidence-based, woman-centred care across a range of maternity settings. You'll adapt confidently to different clinical environments, work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain the highest standards of professional practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, woman-centred midwifery care in accordance with best practice standards
- Provide care across antenatal, postnatal, birth suite and maternity services
- Assess, monitor and respond appropriately to changes in maternal and neonatal condition
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with obstetricians, paediatricians, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Educate and support women and their families throughout their maternity journey
- Adhere to infection prevention, clinical governance and workplace health and safety standards
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Minimum of 12 months' post-graduate midwifery experience
- Recent clinical experience in antenatal and postnatal care (birth suite experience highly regarded)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously while adapting quickly to new clinical environments
- Sound clinical judgement and effective decision-making skills
