ChoiceOne is recruiting an experienced Production Manager on behalf of a leading manufacturing business operating advanced plastics and blow moulding production facilities across Perth.
This is a permanent full-time role from day one, offering a senior leadership opportunity to oversee production operations across dual manufacturing sites while driving safety, quality, delivery performance, and continuous improvement.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for daily production performance across blow moulding machinery and downstream equipment. You will lead supervisors, operators, and technical staff while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing outcomes.
You will play a key role in optimising machine utilisation, improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), coordinating mould changeovers, and ensuring production schedules meet customer demand and business targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and champion a strong safety-first culture and WHS compliance
• Manage blow moulding production, scheduling, and shift operations
• Drive machine performance, uptime, cycle times, and waste reduction
• Coordinate mould changeovers, trials, machine start-ups, and process improvements
• Maintain product quality to ISO, GMP, and HACCP standards
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, operators, and production teams
• Work closely with Maintenance to optimise equipment reliability
• Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, scrap reduction, and labour efficiency
• Support operational planning, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Strong experience managing production within blow moulding or plastics manufacturing
• Proven leadership experience managing large production teams and shift operations
• Strong knowledge of Extrusion Blow Moulding (EBM) and production processes
• Experience with LEAN, Kaizen, or continuous improvement programs
• Strong SAP / ERP production planning experience
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead change and drive performance improvements
• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
QUALIFICATIONS
• Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations degree (preferred)
• 5–10 years’ experience in plastics or manufacturing production leadership
• Lean or Six Sigma certification highly regarded
