We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Support Officer to join a high performing and dynamic team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a company that values safety, compliance, innovation, and technical excellence in the construction and engineering space.
? Key Responsibilities:
- Manual data entry and validation of timesheets from various job sites and departments
- Chasing timesheet submissions and clarifying discrepancies
- Ensuring compliance with the relevant Australian industrial awards (especially Clerical Award, Manufacturing, and Construction Industry Awards)
- Applying award interpretation to pay calculations and entitlements
- Handling Construction Long Service Leave requirements
- Supporting job costing and accurate allocation of labour costs to projects
- Assisting with payroll, reporting, and ensuring award compliance
- Working closely with Payroll officer and HR teams to ensure payroll accuracy
- Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably within the construction, manufacturing or engineering sectors
- Proficient in payroll legislation and confident in applying this knowledge across diverse scenario
- Solid understanding of Australian Awards, including Clerical, Manufacturing, and Construction Awards
- Knowledge of compliance requirements and Construction Long Service Leave schemes
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
- Prior experience with job costing and MYOB is highly regarded
- A proactive attitude with great communication and follow-up skills
- Open-minded, eager to learn, and dedicated to proving their skills
