Our client is seeking an immediate start for capable Payroll Officer's on an initial 2-month contract. About the Role
This is a hands-on, data-entry-focused payroll support role where accuracy and attention to detail are everything. You'll be joining a busy team during a key transitional period as the business moves from manual timesheet processing to an automated system. Your role will be critical in keeping payroll running smoothly in the interim.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing and support using MYOB
- Manual timesheet processing and high-volume data entry
- Interpreting and applying various Modern Awards relevant to manufacturing and construction
- Ensuring compliance with leave entitlements, including those specific to manufacturing and construction industries
- Supporting the team through the transition to an automated timesheet application
- Bring a minimum of 3 years of recent and relevant payroll experience
- As this is a short-term contract requiring a fast turnaround, only candidates with local Australian experience will be considered
- Exposure to manufacturing, construction, or a trades-based industry is highly advantageous
- Comfortable with manual timesheet processing and high volumes of data entry
- Working knowledge of MYOB (or similar payroll software)
- Familiarity with award interpretation and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to hit the ground running
- Competitive hourly rate of $40.00 per hour
- Stable and flexible full-time or part-time hours
