Our client is seeking an immediate start for capable Payroll Officer's on an initial 2-month contract. For the right candidate, this role may have the potential to transition into a permanent position.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, data-entry-focused payroll support role where accuracy and attention to detail are everything. You'll be joining a busy team during a key transitional period as the business moves from manual timesheet processing to an automated system. Your role will be critical in keeping payroll running smoothly in the interim.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing and support using MYOB
• Manual timesheet processing and high-volume data entry
• Interpreting and applying various Modern Awards relevant to manufacturing and construction
• Ensuring compliance with leave entitlements, including those specific to manufacturing and construction industries
• Supporting the team through the transition to an automated timesheet application

• Bring a minimum of 3 years of recent and relevant payroll experience 
• As this is a short-term contract requiring a fast turnaround, only candidates with local Australian experience will be considered
• Exposure to manufacturing, construction, or a trades-based industry is highly advantageous
• Comfortable with manual timesheet processing and high volumes of data entry
• Working knowledge of MYOB (or similar payroll software)
• Familiarity with award interpretation and compliance requirements
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to hit the ground running

• Competitive hourly rate of $40.00 per hour
