Parks & Gardens Labourer – Council Role | Early Starts | Ongoing Work  ?

Join a hands-on role with a local council’s Parks & Environment team , maintaining beautiful public spaces across parks, playgrounds, streetscapes, and reserves.

Depot Location: 35 Martin Pelusey Road, Waterloo
Hours: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (2:30 PM every second Thursday)
Team Size: 2–4 people
Ongoing opportunity Your daily duties will include:

• General garden maintenance, weeding (manual & chemical)
• Pruning, hedging, deadheading
• Brushcutting & chainsaw work
• Playground, BBQ & tree maintenance
• Rubbish removal, watering, fertilising, mulching
• Assisting with traffic management setups
• Visual inspections & basic reporting

To be successful, you’ll need:

• White Card (Construction Induction)
• HR or MR Driver’s License
• Experience in horticulture or grounds maintenance (preferred)
• A strong work ethic and ability to work in a small team
