Are you passionate about creating and maintaining stunning outdoor spaces? We are seeking motivated and dedicated Parks General Hands to help us uphold the beauty and safety of our city's vibrant recreational areas. In this vital role, you'll work outdoors in a dynamic environment, directly contributing to the well-being and enjoyment of our community.

What You'll Do:

• Provide top-quality maintenance of both active and passive recreational parks and green spaces
• Operate a variety of horticultural and landscaping equipment including ride-on mowers, whipper snippers, chainsaws, edgers, blowers, and more
• Work collaboratively with a team to achieve and sustain high standards of park presentation
• Drive council vehicles responsibly and safely to carry out daily tasks

Required Skills:

• Valid White Card and Driver’s License
• Experience in landscaping or horticulture industries
• Knowledge in operating a wide range of horticultural machinery and equipment
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Physically fit and capable of demanding outdoor work
• Commitment to following WHS practices and safety standards

Nice to Have Skills:

• MR/HR License for driving larger vehicles

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Prior experience in horticulture, landscaping, or park maintenance roles

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Willingness to contribute positively to team goals and maintain high standards
