Position Overview:
The Marketing and Digital Lead will be responsible for developing and delivering integrated marketing and digital communication strategies that promote the City and strengthen its brand reputation.
In this leadership role, you will oversee marketing campaigns across traditional and digital channels, lead a multidisciplinary team, manage agency relationships and utilise data-driven insights to optimise performance and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement integrated marketing and digital communication strategies aligned with organisational priorities
- Lead the planning and delivery of campaigns across digital, social media, print, and traditional media channels
- Oversee the performance and optimisation of websites, social media platforms and digital communications
- Manage the City’s brand strategy and ensure consistency across all communications
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary marketing and digital team
- Analyse campaign performance and provide insights to inform future strategies
- Manage relationships with media, creative agencies and external stakeholders
- Provide strategic marketing advice to senior leadership and internal business units
- Ensure compliance with governance, procurement and communications policies
Selection Criteria:
- Extensive experience in strategic marketing and digital communications across multiple channels
- Proven experience leading integrated campaigns and brand initiatives with measurable outcomes
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring marketing or communications teams
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Excellent project management, analytical and reporting capabilities
- Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, CMS, SEO, analytics and social media tools
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or a related field (desirable)
- Experience within local government, tourism, or destination marketing environments (desirable)
- Willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance
