About the Role As a Manual Machinist, you will contribute to a safe and productive manufacturing environment while producing precision components used across multiple heavy industries.

Your primary focus will be ensuring that all machining tasks are completed safely, accurately and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manual lathe operation
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ensure all job documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Maintain machinery so it is clean, serviced and operating efficiently
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders across production
  • Contribute to a safe and organised workshop environment
  • Programming experience will be highly regarded

Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a manual machining role
  • Trade qualified machinist or similar
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Good computer literacy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks
  • Confident team player who can also work autonomously
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident only
