ChoiceOne is currently seeking a skilled, experienced Landscape Supervisor for a local Council in Perth (Nedlands Area). This role will be assisting and supporting the Coordinator Parks in the day-to-day landscape maintenance operations within the Parks Maintenance Business Unit.
This role is a temporary position with the opportunity to go permanent.
About The Role
- Provide effective leadership and direction to Parks Maintenance employees and technical advice to the team across all landscape maintenance operations
- Undertake the day-to-day planning, scheduling and direction of the City’s Landscape Maintenance team and contractors including provision of technical advice and allocation of plant, personnel and equipment
- Monitor the health and condition of landscape areas, assess work requirements and arrange works to produce quality outcomes including appropriate water usage in collaboration with the Supervisor Irrigation
- Supervise and facilitate the infield application of the City’s monthly and seasonal landscape maintenance activities
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external landscape maintenance related enquiries and complaints and address customer requests by investigating issues, researching complaints, devising appropriate solutions and providing feedback
Criteria:
- Experience in landscape maintenance practices in a team leader or supervisory capacity
- Experience in working to, developing and monitoring maintenance schedules
- Certificate IV Horticulture or minimum 5 years’ experience in horticulture operations
- Current ‘C’ class Driver’s License
- Construction induction ‘White’ Card
- Current Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate.
- Pest Management and Chemical Application certification
