HR Generalist / HR Advisor

We are currently partnering with a well-established and growing organisation operating within the construction, mining, and maintenance sectors to recruit an experienced HR Generalist / HR Advisor.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and hands-on HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, operational environment and partnering closely with leaders to drive practical people solutions.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you will provide end-to-end HR support across the full employee lifecycle. This is a true generalist position offering both operational involvement and exposure to HR projects and improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing practical HR and Employee Relations advice to managers and staff
  • Supporting industrial relations matters and ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation and relevant awards
  • Assisting with investigations, performance management, and disciplinary processes
  • Managing onboarding, engagement, and retention initiatives
  • Supporting remuneration reviews and reward programs
  • Developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures
  • Contributing to HR reporting and workforce analytics
  • Assisting with offboarding and workforce transitions
  • Supporting HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Occasional travel to operational sites as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a dipolama in HR
  • Demonstrated experience in a HR Generalist or HR Advisor capacity
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations
  • Experience managing employee relations matters with confidence and professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills with a balanced, diplomatic approach
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a dynamic environment
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset
  • Flexibility to travel to sites when required
