Expert Health and Safety Guidance
As a Health and Safety Advisor, you'll provide expert advice and guidance to site teams, ensuring compliance with Western Australia's safety legislation and client-specific requirements.
Your duties will include:
- Conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
- Leading safety meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-start briefings
- Assisting in incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Maintaining accurate safety documentation and reporting
- Collaborating with site teams to promote and implement HSE best practices
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
- At least 18 months experience in a similar safety advisory role within mining
- Strong working knowledge of Western Australia Work Health and Safety legislation and mining safety regulations
- FIFO experience (in a Safety Role)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid WA Driver's Licence - Minimum Class C
- White card
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening
Desirable Skills and Experience
- ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116)
- Experience with 4WD and construction equipment
- Inducted with Rio Tinto, FMG, or BHP
