Finance Officer – Part Time

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer
to join the team in a permanent part-time capacity. You will report to the Functions Lead and play a key role in ensuring smooth and compliant financial operations including managing budgets and reconciliations to preparing invoices and reports.
This position is ideal for someone who values variety in their work, has a keen eye for detail, and is committed to maintaining accurate financial records in a purpose-driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing expenses budget, including forecasting and reporting.
- Preparing financial reports for expenses and non-trading income (e.g. rent, groceries, everyday expenses).
- Process and verify financial transactions, including petty cash and participant shopping accounts.
- Manage participant shifts in Shift Care , ensuring rosters and ratios align with the ROC.
- Generate, approve, and process invoices using Shift Care and Xero.
- Review accounts each month to identify any inconsistencies or cost saving opportunities.
- Support management with financial insights across all finance processes
- Ensure all financial activities follow regulations and company policies.

To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in financial administration or bookkeeping.
- Experience in a similar industry is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
- Permanent part-time role (3-4 days per week) with the possibility of full-time hours.
