About the Role
This isn’t your traditional FIFO swing. Every day is different and, as a remote site Registered Nurse, you’ll be on the frontline when it matters most.
From providing primary healthcare and conducting health assessments to responding to medical emergencies and supporting workforce health and wellbeing, no two days are the same. One day could mean routine clinical care and the next, you could be responding to a serious workplace injury or medical emergency.
Your day to day could include:
Assessing and treating injuries and illness
Delivering immediate assessment and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses
Responding to onsite medical emergencies with confidence and clinical expertise
Promoting health, safety, and wellbeing through site-wide wellness programs
Overseeing daily operations of the site medical clinic, including medical supplies and equipment
Maintaining accurate electronic clinical records and documentation
Are you site ready and clinically confident?
Here’s what you’ll need to hold:
Bachelor of Nursing
AHPRA Registration (Division 1)
IV Cannulation competency
Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
HLTPAT005 – Drug and Alcohol Specimen Collection
Current National Police Clearance
Previous FIFO nursing experience
Minimum 18 months’ experience in Emergency, Critical Care or another relevant acute clinical setting
Class C Manual Driver’s Licence
Bonus, but not essential:
Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response
On-road emergency nursing experience or remote-site healthcare experience
Trauma Nursing Course
Audiometry and Spirometry
White Card
