We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Extrusion Technician / Operator.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Extrusion Plant Manager, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion equipment, ensuring product quality, and supporting daily production targets. Responsibilities include:
Operating extrusion lines and associated machinery, including start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers
Monitoring and adjusting machine settings
Loading raw materials into hoppers (using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling of up to 25kg bags)
Conducting quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools
Collaborating with the plant manager and engineering team to troubleshoot and optimize processes
Logging material usage and outputs through a digital interface
Moving finished goods using a forklift
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience operating plastic extrusion machinery (essential)
A current forklift licence (LF) or willingness to obtain one
Good physical fitness and ability to lift up to 25kg
Basic computer literacy and comfort working with digital production systems
A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to grow with the business

Work Schedule:
Initial weekday shifts starting from either 6:00am or 6:30am and finishing at 2:30 or 3:00pm depending on start time.
Overtime and occasional weekend shifts as required
Additional shift patterns will be introduced as operations scale
