Our client, a respected not-for-profit organisation dedicated to environmental sustainability and community engagement is seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Landcare Officer to lead their Landcare programs and operations.

About the Role
In this key leadership position, you’ll be responsible for shaping the direction and delivery of the organisation’s environmental programs. You’ll provide operational oversight, policy leadership, and volunteer coordination to ensure effective, compliant, and high-impact outcomes.
? Program Leadership

  • Drive the planning and delivery of Landcare and environmental restoration projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landholders, community groups, and funding partners.
  • Implement robust monitoring and evaluation systems to measure program success.
? Policy, Governance & Compliance
  • Develop and maintain policies that meet all legal, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice to the Executive Committee or Board to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead continuous improvement processes for organisational governance.
? Volunteer & Operations Management
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and support of staff and volunteers.
  • Manage compliance checks including WWCC and Police Clearances.
  • Track budgets and invoices, ensuring alignment with funding agreements and grant conditions.

Who We’re Looking For
You’re a confident and capable leader who thrives on collaboration, organisation, and results. You have:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in leadership, operations, or project coordination
  • Experience in NFP, environmental programs, Landcare, or community projects
  • High integrity in managing confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong communication skills to influence and engage diverse stakeholders
  • A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
