The Role:
As an Emergency Services Officer (ESO)
you will play a vital role in maintaining health and safety on remote mining sites. You'll lead emergency response efforts, provide frontline medical care, and contribute to site preparedness and health promotion.
This role suits adaptable, calm, and clinically competent professionals who thrive in high-pressure, remote environments.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency response and medical care on site
- Support site-based health and safety initiatives
- Conduct routine clinical assessments and treatments
- Contribute to training, drills, and emergency preparedness activities
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Assist with D&A testing and injury management
Role Requirements:
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in mining or heavy industry
- Cert IV in Healthcare (Ambulance) or Diploma of Emergency Health Care (or higher)
- Cert III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
- HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drug & alcohol testing
- Advanced First Aid - (HLTAID009, HLTAID011, HLTAID014)
- Construction White Card
- Manual WA C-Class Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance
- Strong computer literacy
Highly Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
- SCBA/BG4 qualifications for underground response
- Manual WA HR/MR-Class Driver’s Licence
