$108,813 - $125,890 + Super

Are you a procurement professional with a passion for delivering value, compliance, and best-practice solutions?

The city is seeking a coordinator of procurement and contracts to provide specialist advice and support across our purchasing, procurement, contracts and tendering processes. You will lead and support a small, dedicated team to ensure the city’s goals are met.

What we are looking for:
We’re seeking a capable and motivated procurement professional who brings:
  • Extensive experience in procurement, contracts management, or a related commercial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven negotiation, consultation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience supervising or coordinating staff.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in preparing and reviewing complex documentation
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in procurement, business, law, commerce, or a related field

What will you do in the role?
  • Lead the development, review and implementation of management policies, frameworks and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to plan, schedule and deliver the city’s forward procurement program.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on procurement and contractual matters across the organisation.
  • Preparation, review, and execution of tender and quotation documentation.
  • Manage end-to-end tender processes, ensuring compliance.
  • Analyse procurement data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain strong governance, compliance, and record-keeping practices.
