This is a site-based role responsible for training compliance, VOCs, competency management and field-based verification of operators across mining and site operations. We need someone practical and credible in the field who can work with supervisors and operators, not just manage paperwork
Key responsibilities
- Conduct and support training, assessments, VOCs and competency sign-offs
- Deliver site inductions, refresher training and compliance-based training as required
- Maintain training records, VOC documentation and operator competency records
- Manage and update the training matrix
- Verify competency for mobile plant operators in the field
- Identify training gaps and work with leaders to close them
- Support departments with training compliance requirements
- Assist with contractor onboarding and verification requirements
- Ensure training documentation is accurate, current and audit-ready
- Support site readiness for audits and inspections
Preferred
- Exposure to open pit mining operations
- Experience with training systems, LMS and competency matrices
- Understanding of WA mining compliance and statutory training expectations
- Relevant training and assessment qualification
- Ability to step in and provide practical support across site training needs
