ChoiceOne is currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Building Services Assistant for an ongoing regional role across Narrogin, Merredin and Northam, WA. This position supports the maintenance and upkeep of essential facilities within a healthcare environment. The role offers strong pay, structured rosters, accommodation and a work vehicle. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance across buildings and facilities
- Complete general repairs and minor works via job requisitions
- Perform basic concreting, welding and minor carpentry tasks
- Replace lighting globes and tubes under electrician supervision
- Monitor and assist with steam generation equipment and medical gas supplies
- Conduct water testing and dosing as required
- Maintain plant rooms and workshops in a clean and safe condition
- Assist engineering and maintenance staff as required
- Participate in safety, quality and team initiatives
- Experience in general building maintenance or a similar role
- Knowledge of basic welding, concreting and carpentry
- Ability to work at heights and safely use ladders
- Experience using power tools and workshop equipment
- Strong understanding of WHS requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current C or C-A Class Driver’s Licence
- Full working rights to work in Australia (PR or Australian Citizen)
- Forklift licence
- White Card
- Working at Heights or EWP certification
- $45.09 per hour flat rate
- 10-hour days
- 8:6 or 5:2 roster options
- Shared accommodation provided
- Work vehicle supplied
