Time to Attract Leavers to the Workforce

As an approved Group Training Organisation (GTO), ChoiceOne is able to source and manage apprentice and traineeship needs on behalf of clients. The service is especially beneficial for small to medium business, as ChoiceOne takes on the employer and training obligations so they can focus on managing their business.

With Christmas and New Year fast approaching, school leavers will soon hit the market, and for businesses who may be considering employing an apprentice or trainee in 2016, action needs to be taken now to ensure that the best talent is secured, and the new employee has been set-up and is ready to go for the new year.

Marg Van Heurck, Chief Executive Office of ChoiceOne said, “By engaging ChoiceOne to manage the new apprentice or trainee, the process is streamlined considerably making it easy for the employer. Our Consultants are conversant with current legislation, and key Government agencies and policies to help the employer navigate and meet their obligations.

In addition, we have introduced a tiered packaged solution, with the Gold package being a cost effective option that enables businesses of all sizes the opportunity of taking on additional staff.”

Each year, the Department of Training and Workforce Development provides a number of scholarships of up to $3,000 to complete a higher qualification. This year the emphasis is expanding opportunities for women in non-traditional pathways such as construction, IT and automotive.
