 Our Client, the global leader in workforce automation, is seeking a Repair/Appliance Technician to join a fast-growing team in Australia that is focused on shaping the future with artificial intelligence and robotics. The ideal candidate understands that automation is the next big technological shift, comparable to the introduction of the smartphone -- and wants to be a part of the movement, helping clients successfully transform their businesses processes and teams. This role is primarily responsible for the running repairs function for our client's AI powered robotic vacuum cleaner, ‘Whiz’.   • Register all repair jobs and monitor repair status
  • Prepare and submit service documentation for both internal recording and to end user as repair report
  • Monitor spares inventory to ensure minimum stock level
  • Raise purchase requisition for spares required for work
  • Fault-find and rectify all breakdowns
  • Coordinate and work with customer service / supply chain
  • Coordinate with factory for in-depth repair work
  • Providing technical support in line with agreed SLA's
  • Prepare and submit weekly repair report and spares consumption report
  • Plan and conduct service training to technicians
  • Take responsibility in repair center
  • Train, on board and mentor other technicians
  • Assign tasks and lead other technicians workload

 

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate the following qualities:

 

  • Positive attitude
  • 3-5 year’ experience in technical repairs
  • Technical Qualification or similar experience preferred
  • Software experience (ideal)
  • Experience in leading a team in technicians (ideal)
  • Able to read schematic and engineering drawings
  • Interest in hands-on, repairing work
  • Australian driver’s license
  • A drive and passion for hands on experience with robots
  • Actively participating in the on-call roster to provide after hours and weekend support in line with customer requirements
  • Experience working with SAP will be highly valued
